Zane Smith to return to Front Row Motorsports for 2025

Zane Smith has secured his spot for the 2025 NASCAR season.

The Huntington Beach driver will pilot Front Row Motorsports’ No. 38 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, marking a return to the organization where he previously competed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series during 2022 and 2023. Smith notably captured the Truck Series championship with Front Row in 2022.

Smith’s rookie year in the Cup Series was a story of two distinct halves. In the first half of the season, he struggled, managing only four top-20 finishes and no top-10 results. However, his fortunes shifted dramatically after parting ways with his Trackhouse Racing development contract. Over the final 18 races, Smith delivered 10 top-20 finishes, three top-10 performances, and a career-best second-place finish at Nashville.

Heading into 2025, Smith brings momentum and familiarity to Front Row Motorsports, working with a team he’s already experienced success with. He will join a talented young lineup that includes Noah Gragson and Todd Gilliland, giving FRM a strong foundation for the upcoming season.
