Kyle Larson clinched his second consecutive victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday, maintaining Chevrolet’s undefeated streak and securing Hendrick Motorsports its second win in the first three NASCAR Cup Series races of the season.

This marked Larson’s third career win at the Las Vegas track. He previously claimed his first win for Hendrick Motorsports at the venue in 2021 after a suspension in 2020. Larson also triumphed in the No. 5 Chevy at Las Vegas last October during the playoffs.

In this race, Larson fended off Tyler Reddick to notch his 24th Cup victory. Reddick, driving for 23XI Racing, relentlessly pursued Larson in the final laps but couldn’t find an opening to make a decisive pass.

Chevrolet has had a strong start to the season with Larson’s teammates also securing wins. William Byron won the Daytona 500, and Daniel Suarez claimed victory last week at Atlanta for Trackhouse Racing. With Larson’s win, Chevrolet has now won eight out of nine national series races this year.

Martin Truex Jr. for Joe Gibbs Racing finished seventh, followed by teammate Denny Hamlin, Penske’s Joey Logano, and William Byron. Suarez, the previous week’s winner, secured the 11th position.

Larson dominated the race by sweeping all three stages and leading for 181 of the 267 laps.

However, there was a setback for Chris Buescher and RFK Racing as a tire fell off Buescher’s Ford early in the race. Buescher revealed that they lost the nut, causing half the wheel to detach, likely due to an issue with the suspension. As a result, two crew members from Buescher’s team will face suspensions for the next two races.

Ryan Blaney finished third for Team Penske, followed by Ross Chastain for Trackhouse Racing, Ty Gibbs for Joe Gibbs Racing, and Las Vegas native Noah Gragson securing sixth place for Stewart-Haas Racing.
