Hailie Deegan gets an Xfinity Ride
Hailie Deegan is set to advance her racing career by joining NASCAR’s Xfinity Series in the upcoming season, thanks to a multi-year agreement with AM Racing, as confirmed on Thursday.
The 22-year-old racer from California is currently the sole female driver participating full-time in NASCAR’s national series, having spent the previous three seasons competing in the Truck Series. Since 2020, Deegan has been part of the Ford Performance development initiative, taking part in a diverse range of racing categories, including the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, the ARCA Series, and truck racing.
With this move, she’s climbing up to a higher tier in her career and has secured support from Ford, alongside new endorsements from Airbox and Viva Tequila Seltzer. Deegan expressed her enthusiasm about this new chapter, highlighting the positive working relationship and shared vision with the team, especially under the guidance of team president Wade Moore. She is optimistic that, with the backing of Ford and the AM Racing team, they will achieve significant success in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Despite not having any wins in the Truck Series and only five top-10 finishes, with an average finishing position of 21st and no playoff qualifications, Deegan remains a significant presence in NASCAR, partly due to her substantial social media following. She boasts 3.2 million followers on TikTok, 1.4 million on Instagram, and 566,000 subscribers on YouTube, making her one of the most-followed NASCAR personalities on social media.
