Erik Jones extends contract with Legacy Motor Club

Erik Jones will continue driving the No. 43 Toyota for Legacy Motor Club in 2025, following the announcement of a multiyear contract extension on Tuesday.

Jones has been behind the wheel of the iconic No. 43 car for the last four seasons, starting in 2021 under the banner of what was then Richard Petty Motorsports. The Michigan native boasts three NASCAR Cup Series wins, two of which were secured at the prestigious Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway, a race known for its demands on both driver and car.

Over his 276 Cup starts, Jones has earned 37 top-five finishes and 89 top-10s, along with his three victories. He has also secured two pole positions and led 827 laps in total. While the No. 43 car has not yet led a lap in 2024, Jones has led at least one lap every season since his Cup debut with Joe Gibbs Racing in 2015.

“I’m looking forward to what we can build at Legacy Motor Club,” Jones expressed in a release. “I’ve been with the No. 43 car for a handful of years and feel like I’m coming into some of the best years of my career. I am hoping to grow alongside Legacy MC in the seasons to come.”
