After more than a decade away, Ram is coming back to NASCAR — starting with a full-time Craftsman Truck Series effort in 2026. The announcement was made with a big “Ram-Demption” reveal at Michigan International Speedway, complete with a sleek new Ram 1500 concept race truck.
“We’ll be on track in Daytona in eight months,” said Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis. “And the way we’re going to do it is unlike anyone else.”
Ram hopes to field at least four trucks for Daytona and is currently seeking team partners. Kuniskis made it clear this isn’t a one-off move — the ultimate goal is a return to the Cup Series.
Ram will be the first new manufacturer to enter NASCAR’s national series since Toyota joined in 2004. NASCAR’s John Probst called it “a big moment for our sport” and hinted more OEMs may be on the way.
