Carl Edwards joins Prime broadcast booth

Carl Edwards, recently inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame, is set to join Amazon Prime Video’s racing coverage this summer. Since his unexpected departure from the sport after nearly winning the 2016 Cup Series title, fans have long hoped for his return in some capacity. In recent years, Edwards has made more track appearances and even served as a guest analyst for FOX at Darlington in 2023.

Prime Video is making its NASCAR debut this season with a high-profile broadcast team. Adam Alexander will lead play-by-play alongside Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Steve Letarte in the booth. Pit reporting duties will be handled by Trevor Bayne, Kim Coon, and Marty Snider. Edwards will contribute to the post-race show hosted by Danielle Trotta, joining Corey LaJoie to break down key moments from each race.

Edwards, a two-time Cup Series runner-up and 2007 Xfinity champion, brings a wealth of experience with 28 Cup wins and over 200 top-10 finishes. Prime Video’s five-race schedule kicks off with the Coca-Cola 600 on May 25 and includes stops at Nashville, Michigan, Pocono, and the series’ first-ever race in Mexico City. Most early-season practice and qualifying sessions will also stream on Prime Video, featuring FOX Sports’ commentary team.
