Ryan Preece to join RFK Racing for 2025 Cup season

Ryan Preece to RFK

Ryan Preece will join RFK Racing for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season, the team announced Tuesday. He will take the wheel of the No. 60 Ford, expanding RFK Racing to three full-time entries. Kroger, a longtime NASCAR sponsor since 2010 with JTG Daugherty Racing, will also partner with RFK Racing and sponsor Preece, Brad Keselowski, and Chris Buescher throughout the season.

Preece, 34, transitions from Stewart-Haas Racing, which closed after the 2024 season, and brings five full-time seasons of Cup Series experience. He has four career top-five finishes, 16 top-10s, and 176 laps led in 187 starts since his 2015 debut. In 2024, Preece drove the No. 41 SHR Ford, earning one top-five and five top-10 finishes.

RFK Racing co-owner Brad Keselowski praised the addition of a third team, saying it boosts the organization’s competitiveness and aligns with their goal of becoming an elite operation. “Having a third team gives us another shot at the win on any given weekend,” he said. “Ryan has the talent and work ethic, and we’re committed to giving him the resources and infrastructure to succeed.”

The No. 60 Ford debuted last year as part of RFK’s #Stage60 program with drivers like David Ragan and Cameron Waters. Preece expressed enthusiasm about joining RFK Racing, noting their strong performance in 2024 with top finishes and multiple victories from Keselowski and Buescher.

In his Xfinity Series career, the Connecticut native has two wins in 62 starts, along with two victories in 12 Truck Series appearances. As RFK Racing enters its fourth year since rebranding from Roush Fenway Racing, the team aims to further strengthen its playoff presence. In 2023, Buescher advanced to the Round of 8, while Keselowski exited in the Round of 16 in 2024.

Crew-chief assignments for Preece and Keselowski will be announced later. RFK Racing, which dates back to Jack Roush’s founding in 1988, has secured 143 Cup Series wins with 11 different drivers, including NASCAR legends like Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, and Mark Martin.
